Old or New, Mariinsky or Kirov...

In 1961 the Kirov Ballet of Leningrad revealed itself to
Western Europe, from Paris to London. Half a century later it
has not lost its allure: having resumed its original name of
Mariinsky Theatre of St. Petersburg, it has returned to
Covent Garden, London, with its myriad of splendid ballerinas,
legendary female corps de ballet and grand repertoire. In October
the company is expected at the Teatro Regio in Turin, Italy
